Tomorrow morning Carmelina and myself leave for the small town of San Martino D'Agri. Click Here for some pictures of the town. Carmelina's parents come from this town and she still has lots of family there. It is very very small and decently remote considering we are in Italy. It has actually been a bit of a hassle trying to figure out how to actually get there! We will end up taking a long long bus ride. I am looking forward to seeing Italy on the road! There are many exciting and wonderful things I have heard about this town, but I will not share them now. Rather I will tell what I have learned and experienced when I get back.
Use Google Maps to locate this town.
As you can see, it is in Southern Italy. We will spend a few days down there, and then we will head back up on Saturday. We will then stop in Rome for a couple of days to see that beautiful city that I have learned so much about. In Rome we will be staying with another of Carmelina's relatives!
I am very very excited for all of this. I have been looking forward to this portion of my trip for a long time! Florence, Venice, and the other cities are beautiful.. but I am very excited to see a different side of Italy..
I will most likely be without Internet for the next few days, but I promise to respond to any and all emails when I get back on Monday!
