All Booked Up

I have finished planning out the first few days of my trip. The rest will either be semi-planned or figured out along the way.

As I stated in my previous post, the first few days will be quite hectic.
Here's the plan thus far:

November 4

• Vote
• Train to NYC, transfer to train to Newark Airport
• Overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland
  

November 5

• Arrive in Dublin 6 am (1 am NY time)
• Spend a few hour layover in Dublin, walk around town, possibly visit Guinness Brewery
• 4 pm flight on Aer Lingus from Dublin to Venice.
• Arrive at Night

November 6

• Spend the morning/afternoon wondering Venice
  
• Train to Florence, Italy to meet up with my wonderful friend Carmelina (my Central America traveling partner)

And then I slow down and hopefully spend a couple of weeks in Italy.

I would have loved to plan more time in Dublin and Venice, but I have to get to Florence. Its quite O.K. though because they are places that I was not planning on visiting at all, but managed to squeeze in... Thanks in part to my personal expert travel planner, my dad.

I would also like to thank my mom and the rest of my family and friends for being so supportive of this trip.

Welcome to my blog

Hello everybody! Instead of sending out massed emails during my travels, I will instead be posting in this blog. It should hopefully be much easier and I might be even able to throw in some pictures as I go.

My next trip is a one way ticket across the Atlantic. This might be obvious, but since I do not have a return ticket, I do not have this trip fully planned, and will at no point have it fully planned. However, I do have a beginning to this adventure.

I leave on November 4th and the idea of this trip is to take things nice and slow, take my time until I have had enough or until the money supply has run out (most likely the latter). However contrary to this statement, the first few days of my trip will be quite hectic. I will explain this in another post, once I have everything fully booked.

All I know so far is the morning of the 4th I will be placing my vote in the election, taking a train to Newark airport (the only way I could redeem a free flight), and flying overnight to Dublin, Ireland. At least I will be safely out of the country if the election goes to the shitter ;)

In weeks leading up to my trip I will update on any plans that I make. So you can either check every so often, or I believe that you can subscribe to this blog, but I'm not quite sure how that all works out.
